SHOT 2/17/19 12:18:43 PM - A single simple, small roadside capilla tucked amongst wildflowers along Highway 307 near Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Felipe Carrillo Puerto is the municipal seat and largest city in Felipe Carrillo Puerto Municipality in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. According to the 2010 census, the city's population was 25,744 persons, mostly of Maya descent. The capillas are often dedicated to certain patron saints or individuals who have died at or near the site. Often times they contain prayer candles, pictures, personal artifacts or notes.
