SHOT 2/19/19 1:11:35 PM - A Virgin of Guadalupe statue visible through a cross cutout in the side wall of a roadside capilla filled with burning candles along Highway 261 on the outskirts of the small town of Sayil in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The capillas are often dedicated to certain patron saints or the memory of someone that has died at or near the site. Common throughout the backroads and secondary highways of Mexico they often contain prayer candles, pictures, personal artifacts or handwritten notes.
