Dominic Puzo, 23, a former Navy Master at Arms 2nd Class, salutes as he says his last goodbyes to Renzo, his pet Belgian Malanois, at a funeral service at the Longmont Humane Society on Wednesday December 21, 2005. Puzo was on his way to deal with the death of Renzo Monday when he drove past a Midas Muffler shop and saved the life of Midas employee Jose Silva who was burned in a fire at the shop. Renzo was 11 years old and served for nine years in the Marine Corps as a patrol and narcotics detection dog. Puzo said, "He had a special place (in my heart), he was a hell of a dog".
