SHOT 10/21/09 8:36:51 PM - Portraits of Rocky Mc aka "Is-Real", 57, at the Denver Rescue Mission who was living on the streets for about nine months currently and has been homeless a number of times in his life. He is holding a token that will get him a bed for the evening. He said, "I never dreamed that I'd have to do what I'm doing right now". He added that the streets can be a lonely and dangerous place at times. A recent survey by the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative estimates there are more than 11,000 homeless individuals in the seven county metro region and that numbers are up some 20 percent from 2007.
