SHOT 10/28/13 12:52:22 PM - A pair of mountain bikers pick their way through the dessert while taking a break from riding to explore a small slot canyon while biking the White Rim Trail near Moab, Utah. The multi-day mountain biking trip through Canyonlands National Park on the White Rim Trail just outside of Moab, Utah is one of the most scenic and truly unforgettable rides in the country. The trail is a 103-mile loop on a jeep road through Canyonlands National Park that passes through some of the most beautiful canyons and scenery in all of the Southwest. Technically, this trail is fairly easy but the length (and a few stiff climbs) means you need to be in good condition to complete the ride. The major climbs add up to 4000 vertical feet, but an altimeter or GPS unit that records every little up-and-down along the ride will yield you about 6000 total feet of climbing.
