SHOT 5/02/2003 - In a seemingly endless cycle, former prairie becomes subdivision as rows of new homes near Tower and Iliff in Aurora push their way eastward . Aurora once relied on water from Denver but was partly cut off in the 1950's from Denver water and went out in search of their own water. City officials continue to encourage growth in Aurora despite concerns over a lack of water during the ongoing drought. They hope however to encourage responsible water use in new developments and further foster conservation amongst residents..(Photo by Marc Piscotty / © 2003)
