SHOT 2/13/19 10:54:01 AM - A small but brightly colored capilla featuring Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in the jungle near Chemax, Mexico. Chemax, from the Mayan word meaning "tree of monkeys", is a small town located in the east side of Yucatan State of Mexico. Capillas, or tiny chapels, are common along the roads and highways in Mexico, which is largely Catholic. The capillas are often dedicated to certain patron saints, such as Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Often times they contain prayer candles, pictures, personal artifacts or notes.
