SHOT 5/26/11 6:34:02 PM - Chef Frank Bonanno and partner Adam Hodak teamed up to create an underground "chef driven cocktail joint" with the Green Russell on Larimer Square. Wednesday’s Pie is designed to serve as a front for the Green Russell, described by Bonanno as “a Prohibition-esque watering hole.” The new establishment will include three bars, manned by bartenders who work with block ice, fresh herbs and pressed-to-order juices to craft cocktails inspired by cocktails of times past. There will be only one beer, brewed for Green Russell by Great Divide Brewing Co. Green Russell’s menu includes bar snacks and an ever changing selection of slices of pie.
