The snowboarding competition attracts some of the top riders in the sport and aims to be the most progressive competitions in snowboarding. Chas Guldemond won the Steel and Sky Rails Competition on Friday and Andreas Wiig won the Slopestyle portion on Saturday. Besides being the location of the event for six years now, Vail was ranked as the number one ski resort in a Ski Magazine reader's poll for the 2006/2007 season.
