The 23-acre park contains a conservatory, a variety of theme gardens and a sunken amphitheater, which hosts various concerts in the summer. Woody Allen's 1973 movie Sleeper filmed some scenes at the gardens. The Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory is the largest single structure tropical conservatory in the United States, located at the Denver Botanic Gardens. It was built in 1966 by Claude Boettcher. It incorporates more than 85,000 sq ft (7,900 m?). of tropical climate plants inclucing more than 15 carnivourous plants.
